Last Sunday,wehad our first practice of the violin concerto, The Butterfly Lovers(粱祝). It was really a beautiful song. As a matter of fact, it was originally a traditional Chinese drama about a love story between Liang(梁山伯) and Dru(祝英台).
Dru was a fabricated character that has her own thoughts. Despite the fact that she is female, that considered to be "inferer" than male at that time, she went to the "private school" (known as 私塾 in Chinese) and studied. In order not to be noticed thatshe was a girl, she wore men's clothings and pretend that she were male. It was in that private school did she meet Liang. They studied together.
